Abram just turned 4 months old! He sure is growing. He had his check up yesterday. Abram now weighs 18 lbs. 10 oz. (97th%!!) and is 24 1/2 in. long (50th%). He is about where Rebecca was at 6 months...both in size and physical development. Abram is not content to just lay around like Rebecca was. He wants to be on the move. He can almost roll over (any day now), and he's trying to creep. Sometimes he spins himself in circles trying to move. He does not like to be strapped in/confined (unless he's in the Moby...strapped to Mommy is just fine :P).
Abram is starting to laugh and really develop a personality. His favorite thing to do is watch Rebecca. He cracks up whenever she laughs. And sometimes he thinks just watching her eat is hilarious.
He is still teething...but no sign of a tooth yet. Just plenty of slobber. And it seems we may have another thumb sucker. Abram is often seen these days with his thumb in his mouth. More chewing than sucking at the moment, but all in good time :P
Abram certainly likes to make his presence known. He's about the noisiest baby we've ever seen (whether he's happy or fussy). He likes attention...and lets you know. Definitely more demanding than Rebecca ever was.
Abram has already had 2 hair cuts...and still has plenty of hair.
Abram is exceeding all of his developmental milestones. He's a strong, healthy, noisy, big boy. We look forward to watching him grow and learn each day.

Wow, 97th%!!! He is growing up so fast! How fun!
I think noisy baby boys just run in the Holleboom family. Don't you remember how loud Carson was? And Jonah with his pteradactyl noises? :) I don't remember Joel very well at that age, but Carson and Jonah were super loud babies. Although, boys are just noisier, in general, I think, too.
Bummer about the thumb sucking!
Hope his tooth/teeth pop through soon to give him (and you) some relief! :)I
Must be a boy thing :P He is so loud.
I looked at Carson's stats...Abram weighs about what Carson did at 9 months! Crazy. I can only imagine where Abram will be at 9 months.
Why a bummer?? Nothing wrong with thumb sucking in my opinion. I kind of like it. Makes for a great self soother. And you don't have to deal with pacis. Justin and I both sucked our thumbs...no problems. I don't mind that Rebecca does either. I did until just before I started kindergarten.
I just remember you getting bombarded with germs/sickness with Rebecca... and you attributed it to thumb sucking, that's all. And pacis are much easier to break than thumb sucking. :) I sucked my thumb, too.
Yeah, I don't like the germs. But I don't mind the thumb. Don't have to worry about pacis falling out, getting dirty, etc. Good and bad either way. I just let my kids decide what they want/if anything. So far we're a family of thumb suckers :P
