Rebecca turned 2 months old yesterday. She took a trip to GE (former employer) with Mommy to see her co-workers and show off :) She was an angel as usual and slept the whole time.
Monday was her first time home alone with Daddy (mommy was playing soccer). Rebecca was a good girl for Daddy. They went on a walk, she ate, and she went to bed.

Today Rebecca had her 2 month check up. Mommy must be feeding her well. At her 2 week appt. her weight was in the 25th %, now she's in the 75th %! She weighs 11 lbs. 10 oz. (no wonder she feels so heavy and her 0-3 month clothes are starting to fit so well!). And she's 22 in. long. She's in the 50th % for length and head circumference. Rebecca is meeting all of her developmental milestones. The Dr. says she looks great! Her reflux issues seem to be improving as she gets older, so we are thankful for that. Rebecca got 3 shots (5 vaccinations) today. She cried when it happened, but hasn't fussed since then. She's a real trooper. Hopefully they won't make her sick. Mommy hated to see her cry, but she managed ok too.
Mommy and Daddy are enjoying every minute with this precious little girl. Her big smiles and little noises are the highlight of the day!
This Friday Rebecca gets to meet her Uncle Kevin (Voogt). He'll be over for dinner and to visit.
Next Tuesday Mommy and Rebecca are going to Calvin College to visit some old friends in the engineering department. Maybe if Mommy keeps taking her to visit other engineers she'll end up being an engineer someday :)
More new pictures!

Sounds like it was a good doctor's appt! Kinda crazy she is only an ounce heavier than Carson was at 2 months, yet he was at the 50th% marker - you wouldn't think an ounce would move her to the 75th%. I wonder how they measure the %tiles, like where they're getting their samples from and if they're the same state and nation-wide. Glad to hear the shots went over well. :) And glad to hear the reflux issues are improving, too! That is great news!! :)
There is a standard chart that all peds use for %. You can find it online. It's all approximate since it's like a graph. So the % is give or take. Depends how big of a dot they make on the graph :P It probably looked closer to 75 than 50 to the ped yesterday. There are also some online calculators (Baby Center has one). Maybe those are more exact...they use some kind of mathematical formula.
Thanks for the tip. I found some charts online - never thought to google them before. :) There are even different charts for boys vs. girls so that's why Carson and Rebecca have the different % with only an ounce difference in weight. :)
