35 1/2 week check up, hosptial tour and last day of work!

I had a checkup on 3/27/08. Thankfully things are still looking good. Both blood pressure and urine were normal, so no signs of toxemia. The baby is still growing well...and taking up every last inch of space :) The heartbeat was its usual 152 bpm. The OB checked how things are progressing - the head is way down (I could have told you that:), and I'm dilated about 1 cm. I still have a lot of swelling. The OB just said to keep an eye on it and if I have a lot of pain with it to call so they can do an ultrasound and rule out a blood clot. For now things are going well. Only 2 weeks and 6 days until the baby is born. Hopefully he/she will hold out that long and not decide to make an early appearance. My next appointment is 4/2/08.

We toured the birthing center at the hospital last night. We mostly just saw the birthing rooms, so not too exciting. But it was still good to see exactly where we'll need to be in a couple weeks.

Today is my last day of work!! It's a strange feeling. I have my exit interview this morning. And I have a going away cake/coffee gathering mid morning. I will be sad to say goodbye to my co-workers, but I am so excited to move on to the next phase of my life. Justin and I have both been waiting for this for a while. My new career as a full time mom will begin soon. Until then I'm going to enjoy taking it easy at home.
