Strawberries!

Yesterday we made our first attempt at strawberry picking at De Lange's Redberry Farm.  It was a very hot, muggy day.  But we still had fun.  Daddy and Mommy picked lots of strawberries...Rebecca ate lots of strawberries :)  She did pick some, but mostly was interested in pointing out all of the red berries and showing them to us.  And sampling them.  I don't think Abram knew we were ever there.  He slept the whole time.  He made it a little hotter for Mommy, but he was comfy.  We ended up with about 20lbs./12 qts. of strawberries.  Now hopefully Abram and Rebecca will allow Mommy a little time to freeze, dry and bake with them so we can enjoy them year round.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband!!  And to my dad, my brother, my BIL and my FIL.  We stretched out our Father's Day celebration a bit this year.  Thursday the kids gave Justin his gift (which of course included chocolates...Rebecca thinks they are necessary for every gift giving occasion).  Then Friday we went to a Whitecaps baseball game (Justin's gift from Mary).  We had a great time out as a family.  Rebecca especially loved the characters at the game (Crash and Franky) and getting to share an ice cream cone with Mommy and Daddy.  Finally we traveled East yesterday to spend the day with Mary's family.  We went to Good Shepherd Church (our first time seeing the new building) and then to Mary's parents' house for lunch.  The whole family was there.  Of course all of the kids had a blast.  They really wore themselves out playing out in the backyard.  We got home in the early evening with 2 sleepy kids :)

We are so thankful for such a wonderful husband and father.  We love you Justin/Daddy!!
